Late Queen’s ‘favourite grandson’ Peter Phillips, 46, ‘is dating an NHS nurse’ – just weeks after the royal divorcee split from his long-term girlfriend Lindsay Wallace: Anne’s son introduces new partner to Queen Camilla at Badminton

King Charles’s nephew Peter Phillips is believed to be dating an NHS nurse just weeks after ending his previous three-year relationship.

Peter, who is the son of Queen Elizabeth II’s only daughter Princess Anne, spent the weekend at Badminton Horse Trials with Harriet Sterling, a paediatric specialist nurse and freelance writer.

The pair watched the cross-country horse riding before leaving in a vehicle with Peter’s daughters Savannah, 13, and 12-year-old Isla on Saturday.

On Sunday they returned to the event in Gloucestershire, where Peter was seen warmly greeting the King’s wife Queen Camilla.

Peter’s sister Zara Tindall, 42, and her husband Mike were also at the horse event with their children this weekend.

Speaking of Peter and Harriet, a witness told The Sun: ‘They looked completely smitten and he was grinning from ear to ear.

‘He looked like the cat that got the cream and acted without a care in the world.’

One of Peter’s friends previously confirmed the royal met someone recently and they have been spending time together.

Peter is said to be the late Queen’s favourite grandson and is also very close with his uncle, King Charles.

News of the relationship with Harriet comes just weeks after Peter, who is 18th in line to the throne, split from his partner of three years, Lindsay Wallace, 43.

Before going out with her, Peter married Autumn Kelly in 2008 having announced their engagement the previous year. They ended their 13-year marriage in 2021.

Peter and his recent partner Lindsay went their separate ways after the relationship ‘ran its course’, a source previously told The Sun.

‘They were friends before their relationship blossomed. But Peter and Lindsay have gone their separate ways as the relationship simply ran its course,’ the source said.

A friend of the pair added to Hello! that Peter’s work commitments means he’s been travelling ‘non-stop’.

‘Peter and Lindsay made the difficult decision to separate as they were spending less time together with work and family commitments. Peter’s business commitments and work in F1 meant he has been away and travelling non stop,’ the source said.

‘It obviously came as a shock as most people thought they were absolutely rock solid, it’s very sad. Peter has been travelling all over the world and has been incredibly busy and Lindsay is based up in Scotland, so it’s been hard for them to see each other.’

The late queen’s grandson, who lives on his mother’s Gatcombe estates, does not get money from the royal grant and works as head of partner acquisition for the rights agency CSM Sport & Entertainment and as an ambassador for ISPS Handa, as well as various other endorsement gigs.
