The zip code coincides with today’s date and the Benton Post Office is hosting a celebration. Janet Wood, acting supervisor, said cookies and punch would be served throughout the day. She said the post office would be decked out to celebrate the occasion. “This is the only time in history that Benton’s zip code will be identical to the date,” she said. “We thought it is a good time to celebrate.”
