MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shipping company FedEx says it will increase shipping rates for FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery by a net average of 4.9 percent in January. The ground and home delivery full average rate increase of 5.9 percent that goes into effect on Jan. 2 will be partially offset by a 1-percentage-point reduction in fuel surcharges.
