Royal Mail has denied it painted a Wiltshire post box gold to honour Heather Stanning's Olympic victory. Capt Stanning, a Royal Artillery officer based on Salisbury Plain, and rowing partner Helen Glover won gold in the rowing women's pairs on Wednesday.
