Parkhurst: Standard envelope size could save the post office

First there was the billfold; its name pretty much says it all. The length and width was designed to carry U.S. currency. Most men I knew carried one in their rear pocket. I still remember my first billfold. The outside was made of thick cowhide with a tooled design put there by hand. The inside was more pliable leather with handy pockets for carrying such things as a drivers and hunting licenses.
