MP calls for action to save Royal Mail

A Scottish Nationalist MP has called for urgent action to save the Royal Mail's universal service. Angus MP Mike Weir has won the support of postal union CWU for a motion calling on the Westminster government to ensure protection for the Royal Mail's "universal service obligation."
