Suitcase found harmless after Ames post office is evacuated

Ames Police evacuated the U.S. Post Office building at Sixth Street and Kellogg Avenue this afternoon after a mostly empty suitcase was left unattended inside. The bomb squad from the State Fire Marshal’s Office determined there was nothing harmful inside the black, carry-on suitcase.
