Burgess post office designation passes Senate

The naming of a Champaign post office after a former Champaign County State's Attorney is one step closer to becoming a reality. The U.S. Senate passed legislation on Thursday night to designate the post office at 302 East Green Street as the James R. Burgess Junior Post Office Building.  The measure now goes to the House for consideration. read more
