Police helicopter search for hooded man with knife who attempts to rob Thaxted Post Office

A hooded man attempted to rob Thaxted Post Office at knifepoint at lunchtime today. Staff at the premises, part of the Wayletts store in Town Street, were unable to confirm details but offered reassurance that "everyone is ok" following the incident.
