The action will block the sale at least until Nov. 10, when attorneys representing the city, which requested the temporary restraining order, will face the U.S. Postal Service in Oakland's Northern District Court. Berkeley developer Hudson McDonald told the online news site Berkeleyside that the firm is negotiating with USPS to purchase the landmark building.
