Bill would strengthen food stamp fraud penalties

Authorities say some people are committing fraud with food stamps, misusing the safety net that’s supposed to help feed hungry families. That’s why a New Mexico lawmaker wants to make it easier to prosecute people for selling and misusing food stamps. She says cracking down on fraud is a piece of the puzzle to feeding New Mexico.
