Judge Doesn’t Give Tiffany a Trademark Silver Spoon in eBay Flap (Wired News)

A federal judge on Monday ruled that eBay is not required to police its site for knockoffs being auctioned on its online site. Jeweler Tiffany claimed eBay had a duty to perform such duties to keep counterfeited goods from being sold on the site. Tiffany claimed eBay’s lack of enforcement was diluting its trademark.
