Royal Bank in talks with N.Y. Attorney General over auction-rate securities: Globe (The Canadian Press via Yahoo! Canada News)

TORONTO – Royal Bank of Canada shares were up slightly Friday amid reports that the bank (TSX:RY) is in settlement talks with U.S. regulators over its role in the troubled market for auction-rate securities and may buy back that type of bond from its clients.
