Meghan Markle news: Meghan Markle wears jewellery worth £600,000 in 18 months | Royal | News

The Duchess of Sussex took a break from her maternity leave to attend Trooping the Colour earlier in the month. The new mother was spotted wearing an eternity ring, which has since been valued at £4,350. The diamond ring is believed to have been made by the Queen’s personal jeweller, Harry Collins and was given to her by husband Harry to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

But her latest piece of jewellery has brought the total of her collection up to more than half a million pounds.

Other items that Meghan has worn includes Princess Diana’s £75,000 aquamarine ring, which Meghan wore on her wedding day.

She also has £60,000 Cartier drop earrings, as well as a set of £4,275 pearl and diamond earrings which were a gift from the Queen.

Jeweller Grant Mobley, who valued some of Princess Diana’s heirlooms, told The Mail on Sunday: “The Royal Family is one of the best examples of how diamond jewellery can stand the test of time, be passed down from generation to generation, and only grows in emotional and intrinsic value over the years.”

Meghan’s collection outshines he sister-in-law Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Kate has her late mother-in-law Diana’s sapphire engagement ring in her collection, which is worth an estimated £300,000.

The mother of three also has her “Saudi Suite”.

This was a wedding gift from Crown Prince Fahd when she married Prince Charles and contains a sapphire watch, earrings, bracelet, ring and necklace.

But Meghan also likes wearing more affordable jewellery that is worth less than £100.

She is said to be a fan of high street brands such as Missoma, which is sold in John Lewis.

Mr Mobley believes this is why Meghan’s jewellery has become such a talking point.

He said: “She often wears pieces that would be considered very attainable by the average person.”
