Carole Middleton keeps with the Wimbledon dress code in a chic white dress

After the Duchess of Cambridge’s surprise appearance at Wimbledon yesterday, it was the turn of her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, to find their seats at the All England Club this afternoon.

Kate’s mother, 64, ensured she stayed faithful to SW19’s famous all-white dress code, donning a chic £520 crepe tunic dress for the sporting engagement.

Heading for Centre Court on the third day of play, the couple looked delighted to be back at SW19, arriving in their finery to watch British hopeful Kyle Edmund in action and the world number one Novak Djokovic in action on the show court.

With bright skies above the hallowed courts, Carole also sported a pair of sunglasses while husband Michael, 70, looked dapper in a sharp navy suit with a pin-stripe shirt and a red tie.

In previous years, the couple have been seen in the most exclusive seating area, the Royal Box, but a spot in the box is not guaranteed; even when your daughter is Kate Middleton.

Kate, 37, stood up from her seat and gave a round of applause as Meghan’s friend of ten years competed in her Ladies’ Singles first round match against Giulia Gatto-Monticone of Italy during day two of the championships.

The US tennis ace, who first met the Duchess of Sussex at a Super Bowl party in 2010, rocked a cut-out tennis dress, Nike trainers and a semi-sheer duster jacket.

After stepping out onto the court, she received a huge roar from the audience – including beaming Kate, who could be seen clapping from in the Royal Box.
