A delighted couple have praised an anonymous postie who managed to throw their parcel into their house through the first-floor window.

Laura Chaisty, 27, returned home on Thursday to find a delivery note, that read: ‘Your top window was wide open. I threw it in there.’

She then raced upstairs and found the package, which contained vitamin supplements for her fiance Dale Townsend, sitting on the top of their bed.

The barista, from Faringdon, Oxfordshire, said: ‘It definitely made my day. I couldn’t believe it.

‘It’s a standard first-storey bedroom window and the windows weren’t fully open, so they’d obviously had to get it under, as opposed to straight through.

‘It was really good aim. It was pretty good going for him or her to get it through there. Whoever it was, I want to shake their hand. It was amazing.’

Laura shared pictures of the delivery online to show that not all mail carriers deserve ‘a bit of flak’ for the service they provide.

She and Dale said they wished they could have caught the incident on camera, believing it must of taken the postie more than one shot.

Laura said: ‘They’re clearly really devoted to delivering everyone’s parcels no matter what. Delivery companies get a bit of flak sometimes, but I thought I’d praise them this time.

‘I’m just devastated we don’t have any CCTV – I would have loved to have watched them try to get it through.’
