Andy Murray’s gold post box in Dunblane High Street has been knocked down by a car.
A Mercedes car struck the post box, which was painted gold to commemorate the tennis star’s 2012 Olympic victory, at around 7.50pm this evening.

The driver was said to have sustained minor injuries.
The post box has come completely out of the ground, despite the incident being described as a “slow speed collision”.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police attended Dunblane High Street at around 7.50pm following a report of a slow speed collision where a Mercedes car struck a Royal Mail post box.
“The female driver of the car sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
“Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
A Royal Mail spokeswoman said: “We’re aware that the Andy Murray gold postbox has been knocked down and will look to reinstate it as soon as possible.”
