Royal Mail urges movers to think about what they’re leaving behind in redirection appeal

Amid rising instances of identity theft The Royal Mail has issued a cautionary message to home movers reminding them to redirect their mail when packing up for good.

Conceived by M&C Saatchi, with Arena as media agency, the 30-second piece documents a couple getting nostalgic as they pack up their stuff – but highlights how they’re failing to think about the mail they’re leaving behind.

The creative seeks to raise awareness of one very important possession that is all too often neglected when moving house: people’s identity.

The sedate pace of the Royal Mail’s latest campaign contrasts markedly with its dramatic ‘Heist’ ad from last year, which ended up being banned after instilling “fear and distress” among viewers.
