Kate Middleton news: How Kate and William revealed what they do after children are asleep | Royal | News

Even though Kate Middleton and Prince William may live in a palace and are the future King and Queen of England, it does not necessarily mean they are not living a life like most of us. Last week, the couple was also seen taking a budget flight to Scotland with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. A passenger on the plane said that nobody knew down-to-earth William and Kate were on board.

They told the Daily Mail: “The family were sat right at the front. I fly this route all the time and we were none the wiser. No one knew they were on the flight.”

William carried a number of bags as he led the way off the plane with George and Charlotte to their waiting cars.

Kate held little Louis as she walked alongside the family’s nanny Maria Borrallo.

The flight should have not come as a surprise, as the two have made it known they do a lot of things for themselves and try to live a relatively normal life.

For example, in 2017, during an interview with BBC’s Radio 1, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge opened up about their favourite evening activity, which is something most people can relate to.

When asked by host, Scott Mills, if they catch anything on television or watch the Crown, William said: “A few people have asked me about that.

“No, we are both actually quite keen on box sets when we have time in the evening.”

Kate added: “Yes, when we put the kiddies in bed.”

The couple have also ensured their children are brought up with a very “hands-on” approach.

For example, the little royals aren’t followed by paparazzi and are only pictured at official events, with Kate even taking her own pictures to hand out for use.

Speaking on Prince William’s hands-on parenting, royal author Ingrid Seward said: “Prince William famously changed nappies and got up in the night to do feeds, school pick-up and bath time/ tea time.”

Prince Harry, who has recently become a father for the first time, also appears committed to ensuring his and Meghan’s child has as normal an upbringing as possible.

He told Newsweek in 2017: “I am determined to have a relatively normal life.

“If I am lucky enough to have children, they can have one too.”
