Fire crews rush to Hull Royal Infirmary after false alarm raised

Fire crews rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary after a false alarm was raised.

People visiting the hospital reported seeing Humberside Police and crews from Humberside Fire & Rescue Service rushing to the Anlaby Road hospital.

One woman said: “There’s police and fire brigade at the hospital.

“Two fire engines have just pulled up outside A&E and the fire brigade are running in.

“Third engine has just arrived with blues and twos.

 

“I can’t see any smoke but it looks bad.”

A spokeswoman for Humberside Fire & Rescue Service confirmed they received a call at 8.21am to reports of a fire alarm being activated, and later confirmed it was thankfully a false alarm.
