Developers of a housing complex are giving the community the chance to christen it.
And the person who chooses the winning name will get a £200 prize and will be able to attend the grand opening.
McCarthy and Stone says construction is set to begin for the 70 extra care apartments at Charlton Green, Dover.
The one and two bedroomed flats for the Retirement Living Plus development replace the Royal Mail sorting office.
The developers want people to enter a What’s in a Name competition.
Julie Ward, national sales director for McCarthy and Stone, said: “We are looking for a name, which will be relevant to the local community.
“It can be anything from suggestions honouring local landmarks or scenery, to names incorporating elements of the town’s rich history.”
The development, for the over-70s, has a common lounge for residents to socialise in, landscaped gardens and a bistro restaurant.
An estates team will be on hand around the clock and care packages can be adapted for each person’s individual needs.
Entries for the name need to be submitted by Monday, September 9.
Send them via the email mccarthyandstone@mccann.com, also giving the reason for your choice.
Include DOVER in the subject header and also provide your name and contact details.
Apartments will be available to buy off-plan from next summer and prospective purchasers should register now to receive updates.
