Confused Meghan Markle fans have been going wild after one of her close friend’s shared a piece of artwork appearing to predict the birth of baby Archie.

Meghan’s make-up artist Daniel Martin shared a snap of an Andy Warhol piece titled ‘A Boy For Meg’, which was made to celebrate Princess Margaret having son David in 1961.

Captioning the picture, which was taken at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Daniel wrote: ‘Ironic, don’t ya think..? “A Boy For Meg” #andywarhol 1962 Oil and egg emulsion on canvas.’

But royal fans raved over the picture, with many commenting that it was a ‘prophecy’ and the famous artist predicted the Duchess of Sussex giving birth to baby Archie over 50 years ago.

One commented: ‘Omg that’s insane, this was known in 1962!’

While another wrote: ‘The genius of Andy Warhol; when artistry meets prophecy.’

New York based Daniel appeared to share the snap while visiting the Californian city on Tuesday.

The Andy Warhol piece was one of a number of paintings created in 1962 that reproduced the front pages of newspapers.

The New York Post cover bore a portrait of Princess Margaret alongside the dramatic headline: ‘A Boy For Meg.’

The headline announced the birth of David Linley of the Queen’s younger sister, Princess Margaret, who was oft called ‘Princess Meg’ by the papers at the time.

And though Daniel hashtagged his post with #princessmargaret, royal fans appeared to have missed the connection, with many deeming Andy Warhol the artwork ‘a prophecy’.

Many were amazed that the visionary artist had seemingly predicted that Meghan would give birth to a boy some 57 years before she and Prince Harry welcomed their firstborn Archie in May 2019.

Daniel has previously spoken about how his connection with Meghan impacted his reputation as a make-up artist.

Speaking on podcast Gloss Angeles, Daniel explained he had ‘zero’ idea the lasting effect their high-profile collaboration would have.

‘It was literally like a friend asking me to do a wedding,’ he said. ‘I was like, “I’m happy you’re happy, of course I’ll do your make-up.’
