Footage showed the postman — believed to be in his 50s — with a red Royal Mail bag over his shoulder.

While he urinates, he holds a package under his arm which he later delivers to Alex’s neighbour.

Roofer Alex, 30, who lives with partner Daisy, 23, and his two daughters, said: “This is totally unacceptable. The last few months I’ve noticed the top step in front of my door has been wet.

“At first we put it down to bad weather or condensation.

“But it absolutely stinks of urine. I’ve had to carry my kids over the steps. It is not on.”

Royal Mail bosses are investigating after we contacted them about the footage taken at 11am on Friday.

Alex added: “We thought it might have been kids or a dog but nobody has a reason to do it there. There are fields and parks nearby if he’d got caught short.

“You can even hear him grunting at the end. It’s disgusting. He should be sacked.”

Andy Stringer, 36 — Alex’s neighbour in Rainham, East London — said: “We think he’s done it outside my home too. He’s clearly represents Royal Mail and he’s urinating outside our doors. How charming.”
