Place North West | Mountpark lets Omega shed

The Delivery Group, an e-commerce and specialist mail services business, has leased a 140,000 sq ft facility at Mountpark Warrington Omega from the industrial developer.

TDG, a £250m-turnover group has eight locations around the UK, and is to move its North West operation from Winwick Quay to Omega.

James Wilkins, the company’s managing director, said: “The Delivery Group handles over a billion items a year and as we continue to grow, this new distribution hub will help us to handle increasing demand for our services both nationally and internationally.

“We needed to get this new operation up and running in a short timescale and Mountpark has been very helpful in accommodating us.” The site has room for further expansion.

The facility is one of four units, totalling 760,000 sq ft, which Mountpark funded and worked in partnership with Omega Warrington and Homes England to build speculatively. The first unit of 350,000 sq ft was let to Royal Mail in 2018 ahead of construction being completed.

Tom Kilmister, development director at Mountpark, said: “We look forward to building the good working relationship we have already established.

“Our aim is to offer customers the best property opportunities on the market and at Warrington Omega we have one of North West’s prime logistics locations, due to the site’s accessibility and connectivity.”

Located at junction 8 of the M62, Mountpark Warrington Omega is three miles from the M6/M62 interchange. Existing Omega occupiers include The Hut Group, Asda, Amazon and Hermes Parcelnet.  Two units of 90,000 and 184,000 sq ft are available for immediate occupation.

CBRE and JLL are the letting agents.
