The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have delighted royal fans by sending thank you notes to those who sent good wishes for Prince George’s sixth birthday.
One royal fan, @loopycrown3 on Instagram, shared a snap of the thank you card online, calling it ‘a wonderful note’.
The note features a picture of Prince George, 6, taken by his mother Kate Middleton, 37, as he beamed while wearing an England football shirt.
On the back of the photograph, Prince William, 37, and Kate praised the ‘most thoughtful’ fans for their ‘kind thought’ of wishing the little royal a Happy Birthday.

Instagram user @loopycrown3 shared their delight over the note on Instagram, posting: ‘Wonderful postcard from the Cambridges thanking me for sending my birthday wishes to HRH Prince George of Cambridge.’
The photograph on the front of the note, chosen by Prince William and Kate features a beaming Prince George wearing his England football shirt.
It was one of three images taken by Kate and released on George’s sixth birthday earlier this summer.
The Mail understands that while those pictures were taken at Kensington Palace during the England ‘lionesses’ recent World Cup campaign, the top is one of his favourite items of clothing and George can frequently be seen haring around Kensington Palace with a football at his feet.

Meanwhile the back of the card featured a note from the royal couple, reading: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appreciated your kind thought in writing to Prince George on the occasion of his sixth birthday.’
It went on: ‘This was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send you their best wishes.’
Royal fans were delighted to see the glimpse of the cards, with one commenting on the post: ‘Congratulations!’
Another wrote: ‘Congratulations. What a lovely picture of Prince George.’

Earlier this summer royal fans celebrated receiving a similar thank you note from Prince William following his 37th birthday.
The card, which included a picture of Prince William when he appeared in GQ, also had a note which said: ‘The Duke of Cambridge is most grateful to you for writing as you did on the occasion of his 37th birthday.
‘It really was most thoughtful of you and His Royal Highness sends you his warmest thanks and best wishes.’
