A DESPERATE Thomas Cook worker has been forced to sell her wedding dress on eBay after losing her job when the travel giant went bust.
The woman, from Taunton, Somerset, is flogging her brand new gown for £500 to help pay for “upcoming bills”.
In her advert, she says her husband also worked for Thomas Cook and the firm’s collapse has “turned our world upside down”.
She wrote: “Brand New Stella York wedding dress size 10. RRP £1400.
“Has not been altered brand new never worn stunning dress. Me and my husband were both made redundant form Thomas Cook and it has turned our world upside down. I am seeking this dress to help pay for up and coming bills.
“Collection or can send with a courier, price to be confirmed as would need to know where to send to get a quote. It will be sent recorded with courier so you can track it.”
Meanwhile, hard-up Thomas Cook flight crew are also selling their tights online.
A member of staff in Kent has listed a pair of hosiery from her last flight for £20.50 on eBay.
Would-be buyers are told: “Thomas Cook Cabin Crew Tights. Condition is New. Part of uniform from last operating flight. Any question please ask. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.”
There’s a £3.48 surcharge to cover packaging and posting.

The site is also loaded with adverts for used Thomas Cook uniforms.
A female flight attendant’s get-up appeared for sale for £50 on the day it was confirmed the historic firm was no more.
The listing for a seven-day sale said: “Thomas Cook female uniform Inc wings. Dress, blazer, neck scarf, wings. Size 14-16. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.”
The seller – from Rossendale, Lancs – was asking £5 postage.

Another seller – from Bolton – wanted £100 for a uniform, telling would-be buyers: “Thomas Cook Cabin Crew Uniform Brand New Pants And Waist Coat. Used Blouse.. size 10 Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.”
A third person from Paisley in Scotland was asking £49.99 for a female uniform and wrote: “Soon to be a collectors item due to the sad demise of Thomas cook Airlines. Used all over the world however in good condition. Laundered to eBays strict standards.”
Safety cards, cabin crew equipment and even used sick bags are also for sale on the website.

Luggage wraps, used by staff and pilots, were being sold for £14.99.
Thomas Cook’s closure left 150,000 holidaymakers stranded abroad, as well as 21,000 crew without jobs.
