Romford Crow Lane: First photos of cordon after crash leaves woman in critical condition

Pictures from a critical crash scene show a police cordon as well as debris on the road.

A woman has been left fighting for her life following a crash along Crow Lane in Romford.

Emergency services rushed to the incident at around 6.15am today, (Tuesday, November 19), and closed the road.

A police cordon was erected while officers dealt with the collision, which saw two female pedestrians involved.

One of the women have been raced to hospital in a critical condition, according to a spokesperson at Met Police.

A police cordon remains

Officers were called to the incident, near the Royal Mail sorting office and Romford Cemetery, as well as paramedics from London Ambulance Service.

An air ambulance was also dispatched to the scene, which remains shut more than three hours following the crash.

This incident has occurred just five days following another critical crash last Thursday, (November 14), where a 34-year-old woman and a young child were hit in a crash. Both remain in a critical condition in hospital, according to the latest update from Police.

Photos from the scene today show a cordon has been erected and a police van still on the road.

There is debris on the floor as well as what looks to be smashed glass.

Three officers are also at the cordon.

Public transport are being diverted and commuters are advised to check before they travel.

London Ambulance Service have also been contacted for comment.
