Post Office relationships ‘still recovering’ from strike action

Manager admits walk-out was “heartbreaking”

Postal strikes on the Isle of Man were “very unpleasant” and relationships at the post office are still not back to where they were.


That’s according to the board’s general manager of mail strategy, Geoff Rickard.


Royal Mail workers in the UK are currently considering industrial action in the run up to Christmas, almost a year after a similar move by the Manx postal service.


Speaking on the Mannin Line, Geoff Rickard admitted it’s been a difficult period:
