Shoppers are being warned to be aware of a Royal Mail scam that threatens to leave people out of pocket this Christmas.
People across the country have reported receiving a text message, claiming to be from Royal Mail, telling them they have won an iPhone 11 via a “Currys PC World Christmas List”.
The text instructs people that the phone is waiting to be confirmed or claimed by the same afternoon and provides a link to prizestoconfirm.com
According to one moneysavingexpert.com user the website that asks for bank details in order to charge a “delivery fee”.
At this point the man became suspicious of the offer and did not proceed any further.
Anyone affected by this scam or any other scam should contact their bank for more information and assistance.
