Two ways you can still ensure your post arrives by Christmas Day

Though you’re most probably more than aware, Christmas is just five days away.

The final stretch before the big day might be stressful enough as it is, squeezing in Christmas parties, shopping for all the food and making sure everyone gets the presents and cards you’ve sent them.

If you don’t want to miss the deadline, here are your last two options before the big day.

How to get your post delivered by Christmas

The deadline for delivering mail by second class has already passed, but you can still post out an item by first class if you get them in before the last collection time TODAY (Friday 20 December).

Today is the Royal Mail’s recommended last possible date for guaranteed Christmas delivery.

If you can’t get your post mailed out before the last collection time today, you can still get your items delivered in time for Christmas Day.

You’ll need to get your parcels or cards sent via Special Delivery by the close of Monday 23 December.

Christmas Eve is a normal working day so you’ll be able to post your items but they won’t get delivered until after Boxing Day.

Which days we not get any post over Christmas?

There will be no post from Christmas Day through to Boxing Day, and normal service will resume on Friday 27 December.

On New Year’s Day there will be no deliveries or collections.

In Scotland, 2 January is a bank holiday so there are no deliveries or collections, but normal service resumes in England and Wales.
