Royal fans praise ‘adorable’ Princess Charlotte as she curtsies to the Queen

A curtsy for ‘Gan Gan’! Royal fans melt at ‘adorable’ Princess Charlotte as she dips her knee to the Queen during Christmas Day service at Sandringham – calling it ‘the cutest thing ever’

Royal fans were sent into meltdown after ‘adorable’ Princess Charlotte curtseyed to the Queen on her first Christmas Day church service in Sandringham on Wednesday.

The young royal, four, and her brother George, six, walked the short distance from Sandringham House to St Mary Magdalene Church hand in hand with their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Prince of Wales walked alongside them but one-year-old Prince Louis stayed at the house. 

Following the ‘sweet’ footage, which was shared on Twitter by Isa, members of the public praised Princess Charlotte for being so ‘well mannered.’  

‘Okay but Charlotte’s curtsied to the Queen! OMG! So cute! Her momma didn’t first but she did it and she did it like a true Princess! she held her coat and curtseyed! So freaking cute!’ enthused one, while a second branded the moment ‘the cutest thing ever.’

A third called the clip ‘beyond adorable,’ while a fourth noted: ‘Princess Charlotte is so adorable. Her polite curtsy to the Queen is done with such grace.’

‘There are no lack in manners to the Queen. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are raising very polite young royal children and it shows. Merry Christmas to the Royal family!’    

In the brief video footage, mum Kate can be seen curtsying, before the young royal copies as the monarch exits the church.  

And while one said it had ‘made their day,’ another simply commented: ‘Soooooooo sweet.’

A third noted: ‘She also offered the minister her hand to shake, as they were leaving the church grounds, after seeing her mother do the same!’ while another penned: ‘She is adorable and a beautiful little girl!’

A further commented: ‘Omg the way she pulls out her little coat before the curtsy.’ 

Others attending the main morning service included Princess Beatrice and her fiance, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The 93-year-old Queen, wearing a red coat and hat, arrived at the church in a maroon Bentley with the Duchess of Cornwall.

The Duke of Edinburgh, 98, who was discharged from hospital on Christmas Eve, was at Sandringham but did not attend church.

He had spent four nights at the King Edward VII Hospital in London to receive treatment for a ‘pre-existing condition’.
