Kate Middleton reveals Prince Louis is proud of his recent milestone as he insists he is ‘balancing’

Doting Kate Middleton has given royal fans an update on the progress of her youngest, 19-month-old Prince Louis.

At an engagement in Bradford yesterday, the mother-of-one revealed how Louis loves to show off his developing skills, bragging to Kate: ‘Mummy, I’m balancing’.

The Duchess also said she takes great pleasure in seeing the tot, who turns two in April, ‘turning into a little boy’, Hello! magazine reported.

The glamorous royal, 38, made the revelations as she chatted to a grandmother during a visit to a Khidmat Centres, which help vulnerable members of the community.

The glamorous royal, 38, and the Duke of Cambridge, 37, were on an official visit to Bradford on Wednesday and doting Kate revealed that Louis boasts to her that he is now ‘balancing’

The mother-of-three spoke to Jo and Ian Broadbent, who have full time care of their six-year-old granddaughter, after the ‘Older Yet Wiser’ course, a workshop for grandparents who have child-caring responsibilities.

Jo told Hello! magazine: ‘Kate obviously has a great interest in early years development, she’s quite knowledgeable about it.

‘She referred to some of the tools and techniques we learnt about on the course.

‘I asked how her children were. Kate said Louis had started to tell her “Mummy, I’m balancing” and she said it was really nice to see him turning into a little boy from being a baby. She’s obviously very proud of her children.’

Earlier at the same event, Kate picked up 18-month-old Sorayah Ahmad and danced with the youngster, helping her shake her rattle in time with the music of the ‘banana song’.

The royal proved she was every bit the natural, scooping the little girl up off the floor before bobbing along to the music with the cute toddler in her arms.

The child appeared happy to be cuddled by the Duchess, who helped her shake a rattle before the two enjoyed a game of peek-a-boo.

Sorayah’s grandmother Maryiam Ahmad, who has also completed the ‘Older Yet Wiser’ course, told HELLO! she was almost overcome with emotion when Kate shared a moment with the youngster.

She said: ‘I almost started crying, it was very, very emotional. Kate was joining in with the nursery rhymes and dancing with Sorayah.’

The Duchess may be a dab hand at motherhood, but admitted that she failed at an attempt at knitting a ‘very special jumper’ for George.

She said: ‘I tried knitting when I first had George. I tried to knit him a very special jumper, but I got half way down and it splattered. It’s such an amazing skill.’

The duchess was introduced to a group of women crocheting at the centre, who showed her hearts and blankets they had made for her children – Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, when she made the revelation.

The visit on Wednesday is the couple’s first official engagement of the year, and marked the couple’s first since crisis talks over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s intention to step back as senior royals.

The Duke and Duchess were welcomed by a drummer as they arrived at the Bradford Khidmat Centre for their third engagement of the day, after meeting youngsters at City Hall and making milkshakes at a restaurant.

The visit comes just days after the Queen agreed Harry and Meghan could step back as senior royals and begin a ‘new life’ as an ‘independent’ family.

Following a summit at Sandringham on Monday, Buckingham Palace confirmed the couple would begin a ‘transition period’ in which they would split their time between the UK and Canada.

The summit convened by the Queen, which brought together Harry, William and the Prince of Wales, was not attended by Meghan, who is in Canada with baby son Archie.

It also emerged on Tuesday that Meghan’s father could give evidence against her in her legal battle with The Mail On Sunday, should it go to court.
