Official: Powder that clears post office lobby turns out to be fertilizer (Detroit Free Press)

The powder on a suspicious package that a customer brought into the main post office on Fort Street in Detroit this afternoon that prompted postal office officials to order everyone out of the inner lobby turned out to be fertilizer, according to a U. S. Postal Service spokesman.
