Chester: Royal Mail exceeds target for first class delivery in the CH1 area

ROYAL Mail has exceeded its regulatory first class mail target for the first three quarters of 2019-20 in the CH1 postcode area, which includes Blacon, Saughall and Backford.

A total of 93.5 per cent of mail was delivered the next working day, against a target of 93 per cent.

Across the whole of the UK, 92.9 per cent of First Class mail was delivered the next working day for the first three quarters of the financial year 2019-20. This is within the 93 per cent target range when allowing for the margin of error in sampling.

The results were published today in the latest Royal Mail Quality of Service report2,3.

Lee Martin, service delivery leader at Royal Mail, said: “We are delighted with our First Class performance in this area. We take our Quality of Service requirements extremely seriously and our postmen and postwomen work hard to deliver high standards of service to all our customers across the UK.”

Royal Mail’s quality of service is measured by Kantar, an independent market research company. The latest independent report on performance was published today on Royal Mail’s website at: https://www.royalmailgroup.com/customers/quality-service/quality-service-reports
