Mill House Veterinary Surgery and Hospital in King’s Lynn sets out procedures in response to coronavirus

Lynn’s Mill House Veterinary Surgery and Hospital has said it’s there to help, but it has had to review the services it can offer due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Human health and prevention of disease transmission is a priority, it said following the Government’s announcement that people should stay at home.

It said in a statement: “We will only be seeing emergency patients where urgent assessment and/or treatment is needed, or where without urgent assessment and/or treatment your pets condition would likely become an emergency.

“We will offer telephone consultations. If the vet decides as part of this consultation that we need to see your pet, they will arrange this with you. If you have an emergency, or are worried about your pet in any way, please call us.

“If you do need to bring your pet to us, we will be operating a collection service from the car park. A member of the team will come and collect your pet from your car.

“Please have your mobile phone on so that we can continue the consultation over the telephone.

“Please do not leave home if you are in self-isolation, if your pet needs to be seen, please arrange for someone else to bring them to us.”

All medications and flea and worm treatments will continue to be supplied and clients are advised to call the surgery to order medications, food or preventative treatments.

Payments can be made over the phone. When people arrive to collect their orders, they should call the practice from their car and one of the team will bring the order out.

For people arriving by foot, they should call and wait in the courtyard.

All inside areas of the practice are restricted to clinic personnel only.

There is a postal service for medications and other smaller items via Royal Mail 1st class recorded post.

For larger items such as food, it’s possible a home doorstep delivery can be arranged.

Anyone with question about visiting should call the practice on 01553 771457.
