Queen and Adam Lambert Share New Online “Lockumentary” Series “Roadies in Lockdown” Episode

Queen and Adam Lambert launched a new online “Lockumentary” series’, Roadies In Lockdown. The pilot episode premiered on June 26.

The first episode featured Andy Bews, the show stage manager, who narrates the preparation they had on a Queen and Adam Lambert Concert.

He stated that they had many moving elements in their show, such as lights, screens pulled down, and up and lots of automation. He said that they run the show with a script.

Bews mentioned that he enjoyed every time he is on tour with Queen. He added that amazing crew and friendly people surround him.  

 “It’s a really well-oiled machine. It’s a good thing to be a part of,” Bews continued. 

In the video, the crew members are wearing Hawaiian shirts as they celebrate Hawaiian Shirt Friday.

Queen and Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert started his career in the 8th Season of American Idol, where he end ded as runner up. His Idol performances later made way for him to be discovered by the rock royalty band, Queen drummer Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May, in 2009.

Taylor was amazed by Lambert’s performance at the contest, particularly his rendition of “Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin.

Taylor and May got an invitation to perform with Lambert on the American Idol season’s finale. They flew out to Los Angeles to perform “We Will Rock You” with Lambert, yet still fell short to win over Kris Allen on the finals.

Two years earlier, this event, Queen was looking for a new singer after they ended their relationship with Paul Rogers. 

Almost two years after the performance between Queen and Lambert at the contest, they performed at MTV Europe Awards, followed by a mini-tour to Europe in June 2012 and worked together forward.

Stamps for “Queen”

On July 9, 13 stamps will be released by the Royal Mail to mark the most successful band from the British heavy rock scene’s 50th anniversary – Queen, to pay is to celebrate the band’s big part to UK music.

The first eight stamps feature Queen’s most well-known album covers: Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night At The Opera, News Of The World, The Game, Greatest Hits, The Works, and Innuendo.

Four other stamps have been inspired by the iconic live performances of Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor, John Deacon, and Brian May.

Johnny Dewe Mathews studio photo of the Queen taken in 1974 is the face of the final stamp.

Guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor expressed their gratitude and honor for the Stamp Collection to Royal Mail.

“With their truly original, theatrical sound and effortless ability to mix musical styles, Queen are rock royalty.” Philip Parker of Royal Mail,said.
