THURROCK’S LABOUR COUNCILLORS THANK THURROCK’S KEY WORKERS

IN response to reporting of a well-managed Covid-19 response by Thurrock’s local health and social care services at a recent meeting of the Health and Wellbeing overview and scrutiny Councillor Victoria Holloway, Labour’s Portfolio Holder for Health said “I want to say a huge thank you to our NHS, healthcare workers, social care staff, Thurrock Council employees and volunteers.

“I know you have all be working around the clock, day in and day out, working long hours over the last few months that have meant you probably haven’t slept much. I don’t know how to express how grateful I am, and we all are, that you have worked such hours to keep Thurrock’s residents safe and well during this pandemic. I know this isn’t over and you will continue to take care of us and thank you again so much.”

Councillor John Kent, Labour Group Leader added: “I echo Cllr Holloways thanks to our health and social care staff – you have all done an exceptional job. I would also like to add our enormous gratitude to our volunteers, teachers, royal mail workers, transport workers, delivery drivers and retail workers who have kept the shops open to get our essentials. We couldn’t have managed this period without your hard work and dedication. Thank you.
