Dog tied to motorbike and dragged along road by vile motorist in sickening footage

A cruel motorist has been filmed dragging a dog behind him down a road in a distressing video.

The incident was filmed in the central Colombian region of Casanare and the footage has gone viral on Twitter.

It shows the biker riding along the road with a lifeless dog tied to his motorcycle behind him.

The poor creature doesn’t move throughout the incident, although it has not been confirmed whether it was dead at the time.

The suspect was reportedly dragging the pooch between the towns of Aguazul and Capiagua.

After the video was shared to Twitter, hundreds of horrified viewers voiced their outrage at the biker’s behaviour.

“He’s a criminal and we should hunt him down,” one wrote.

Another commented: “We have to fight animal abuse.”

And a third commented: “Why didn’t the cameraperson stop him? Was he too afraid or something?”

The Casanare Police Department has since confirmed they have opened an investigation into the matter, according to local newspaper Extra.

The incident comes after a dead dog was tragically found stuffed inside a Royal Mail parcel sack and dumped next to a park bin in Sheffield.

Inspector Vanessa Reid from South Yorkshire Police said the German shepherd dog was only discovered after its ears were seen poking out of the opening.

“I collected the body and cut open the sack to examine the dog but there were no obvious injuries on her body and no clear cause of death,” she added.

Meanwhile, the “skinniest living dog” that had been neglected so badly an RSPCA inspector thought it was dead had to be tragically put down.
