Nine men, three of whom are in the military, contacted officers posing as underage girls on social media and arranged to meet them for sex.
They believed the girls were aged 15 or 16.
The men were willing to pay the girls in cash, drugs or alcohol, police allege.
The men were arrested when they arrived at the pre-agreed locations to meet who they thought were the underage girls.
Among the charges handed out were seven felony prostitution charges, two misdemeanor prostitution charges and confiscated two guns.
‘The overall goal … was to locate and arrest subjects who were willing to make overt efforts to pay minors to engage in sexual acts,’ the Killeen Police Department said in a statement.
Among those arrested were Anthony Xavier Antwon, 25, and Timmy Jones Jr., 30, who are stationed at Fort Hood.
Pierre Jean, 32, who is stationed at a base in San Antonio, was also arrested in the sting, according to a police spokeswoman.
The other men were identified as Brian Harley Flynn, 21, of Temple, Brandon Anthony Lee, 25, of Killeen, Rakeem Jamal Nelson, 28, of Killeen, Shaun Paul Moore, 39, of Kempner and Javier Perez, 40, of Austin.
