The United States Postal Service is to restart service to Bermuda from tomorrow, the US Consul General has announced.

Lee Rizzuto said: “Thank you to the United States Postal Service, Delta Air Lines and everyone involved in assisting with the resumption of US mail services to Bermuda.

“This has been a great inconvenience for many and I am pleased to announce a solution.”

International mail services have been disrupted since March because of safety regulations introduced to minimise the spread of Covid-19.

Flights have been suspended or operated on a reduced schedule.

Priority Mail Express International, Priority Mail International, First-Class Mail International, First-Class Package International Service, International Priority Airmail, International Surface Air Lift and M-Bag items will all be avaiable.

Mr Rizzutto said the USPS would continue to update customers on services until the situation returned to normal.
