NHS Fife has confirmed an individual with links to the Dunfermline delivery office has tested positive for Covid-19 and is experiencing mild symptoms.
The individual is isolating at home with family members and contact tracers are identifying and tracing close contacts of the positive case to provide public health support and advice.
NHS chiefs say there is no evidence at this stage of any transmission within the delivery office, however staff are being informed of the case as a precaution and are asked to be vigilant of the signs and symptoms.
Anyone experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 – such as a high temperature; a new continuous cough; or a loss or change to smell or taste –is urged to arrange testing using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal or by calling 0800 028 2816.
