Jungheinrich takes huge Mountpark Warrington Omega warehouse

A 184,537 sq ft distribution centre at Mountpark Warrington Omega has been leased to intralogistics provider Jungheinrich.

The company is planning to use the unit to bring together its four existing facilities in the North West, including the regional sales and service centre.

“The UK is an important growth market for us and the move to Mountpark Warrington Omega is central to our business strategy,” said Alexander Baal, director of sales operations at Jungheinrich UK.

“By bringing our North West operations together into one facility we will increase efficiency, while the quality of the building reflects our ambition to be the number one choice in intralogistics worldwide.”

Mountpark has now completed more than one million sq ft of lettings at the site, with the first phase fully let.

Mountpark Warrington Omega is part of the 575-acre mixed use Omega scheme at Junction 8 of the M62 north of Warrington. Existing customers include Royal Mail, The Delivery Group and Gousto.

“We are delighted that we were able to offer Jungheinrich a facility that meets its requirements and we look forward to welcoming the team,” said Tom Kilmister, development director at Mountpark UK and Ireland.

“With this transaction the first phase of Mountpark Warrington Omega is fully let.”
