Lancashire LIVE: Flooding closes railway between Skipton and Lancaster | Alerts still in place this morning as heavy rain causes flooding across Lancashire | Monday’s hour-by-hour weather forecast

These are the warnings in place this morning, where immediate action is required.

Flood alerts in place on Monday morning

River Lune at Halton, adjacent to river from Forgebank Walk to M6 bridge – The river levels was expected to remain high until 6.30am on 02/11/20.

River Lune at Skerton Pool, areas around Riverside Industrial Estate and Halton Training Camp

Burrow Beck at Lancaster, around Canterbury Ave, Cranwell Ave and Bowerham Road

Burrow Beck at Lancaster, between Newlands Ave, Lentworth Drive and Whinfell Drive

River Conder at Galgate, areas adjacent to the River Conder, Whitley Beck and Ou Beck – The river levels remain high as a result of last night’s heavy rainfall, but are beginning to fall at the Galgate river gauge.

River Wyre at Kirkland Bridge – River levels are expected to begin falling from 7am this morning.

River Wyre at Tarnacre – There is still a flooding risk north of the River Wyre downstream of Ainspool covering properties on Tarnacre Lane and Ainspool Lane. River levels are expected to begin falling from 7am this morning.

River Ribble at Walton-le-Dale, between Avenham and Miller Park – Flooding is expected to affect the area on the North Bank of the River Ribble between the Old Tram Bridge and the Railway Bridge comprising Miller Park, Avenham Park and The Pavillion between 6am and 8am this morning.

River Ribble at Walton-le-Dale, area from Fishwick Bottoms to Railway Bridge – Flooding is expected to affect Fishwick Bottoms area on the north bank of the River Ribble upstream of Walton Bridge.

River Ribble at Samlesbury, around Brockholes Reserve and Lower Brockholes Quarry – Flooding is expected to affect Brockholes Reserve and businesses based at Lower Brockholes Quarry.

River Ribble at Ribchester, area surrounding Blackburn Road – River levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold, but are still being closely monitored.

Pimlico Brook at Clitheroe, along Warwick Drive and Dorset Drive

These are the alerts still in place, where flooding is possible

Upper River Ribble, Hodder – Low lying land in Settle, Barnoldswick, Bolton by Bowland, Sawley, Clitheroe, Slaidburn, Dunsop Bridge, Chipping and Ribchester may be affected.

Lower River Ribble and Darwen – Areas affected include low lying land and roads in Darwen, Blackburn, Higher Walton, Walton-le-Dale, Samlesbury, Preston, Fulwood, Cadley, Lea and Penwortham.

Lower River Ribble and Darwen – Areas affected include low lying land and roads in Darwen, Blackburn, Higher Walton, Walton-le-Dale, Samlesbury, Preston, Fulwood, Cadley, Lea and Penwortham.

Wyre estuary from Fleetwood and Knott End to Little Eccleston – Areas affected include low lying land, roads and coastal paths at Fleetwood Docks and Marina, Fleetwood Marsh Nature Park, Barnaby’s Sands, Burn Naze, Sower Carr, Hambleton, Stannah, Trunnah, Thornton, Skippool and Little Eccleston.

Lower River Wyre – Low lying land and roads in Wyre and the Fylde including Preesall, St. Michaels, Great Eccleston, Kirkham, Marton and Lytham. High river levels are possible on the Rivers Wyre, Cocker, Pilling Water, Main Drain, Liggard Brook, Dow Brook, Inskip Brook including their tributaries and other smaller watercourses. 

Upper River Wyre, Brock – Areas affected include low lying land and roads Abbeystead, Dolphinholme, Galgate, Scorton, Garstang, Churchtown and Billsborrow. 

Lower River Lune and Conder – Areas affected include low lying land and roads from Kirkby Lonsdale to Conder Green including Ingleton, High and Low Bentham, Wray, Hornby, Carnforth, Caton, Halton, Lancaster, Scotforth and Galgate. High river levels are possible on the Rivers Greta, Wenning, Hindburn, Roeburn, Keer, Lune, Conder, Burrow Beck and their tributaries.
