Last Royal Mail Christmas post dates 2020: Final dates for sending Surrey cards and presents

The coronavirus pandemic could make Christmas 2020 slightly different, with the prospect of large festive meet-ups on hold.

Surrey and the rest of England is in a second lockdown until at least December 2, meaning people are currently unable to deliver presents directly – as household mixing is banned.

Posting and spreading a little Christmas cheer via post may be the next best option.

To get your parcels, letters and cards to loved ones in good time, the Royal Mail has revealed the last recommended posting days:

Friday December 18: 2nd Class and 2nd Class Signed For

Monday December 21: 1st Class and 1st Class Signed For Royal Mail Tracked 48*

Tuesday December 22: Royal Mail Tracked 24*

Wednesday December 23: Special Delivery Guaranteed

Customers should note that Royal Mail Tracked 24hr and Royal Mail Tracked 48hr services are not available to purchase at Post Office branches.

The Royal Mail unveiled its Christmas stamps for 2020 – featuring the story of the Nativity told through stained glass windows.

Scenes from windows in six churches across the country, covering a range of eras, styles and techniques, are included in the set.

If coronavirus restrictions are lifted on December 2, the government has said the regional tier system will be reintroduced again.
