Brick thrown at Reading speed camera van

A MAN is being hunted by police for throwing a brick through the window of a speed camera van.

Thames Valley Police said the ‘speed enforcement vehicle’ was parked up along the A4 London Road when it happened.

An operator was sat in the back of the van, which was parked close to the junction with Denmark Road, on Sunday, November 8.

At about 2.40pm a man through a brick through the open rear window of the van smashing into the speed camera inside.

The force said it was lucky the operator was not injured.

Police describe the attacker as wearing a grey hooded jumper and said he ran off down London Road in the direction of Alexandra Road.
