Chief Inspector Scott Richardson, of Police Scotland, said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a suspicious package which was found at a sorting office in Cutlins Road on Saturday, 14 November.

“He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 17 November.

“A police presence remains at a property on Broomhouse Road, where the man was arrested on Monday, 16 November. There is no wider risk to the public.”
