If you want to earn some extra income next month, we have compiled a list of temporary positions with a range of companies that are hiring across Northamptonshire for the festive period.

Whether you see yourself as a warehouse operative, a customer assistant or even a performer, there could be something here for you and applications are open right now.

As part of their Christmas support team, you will get first pick of sale stock, enjoy a 25 per cent staff discount and enjoy some exclusive online employee perks. You will be expected on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and Sunday December 27.

The jobs are part time with an average of 9.25 hours per week for three weeks, which means that you could earn between £184.19 and £246.34.

The job involves unloading mail from vans, moving them around the warehouse and sorting them so that they arrive at their destination safely! Millions of items pass through the warehouse in a single shift so you can expect to be kept very busy!

They offer a range of shifts so they can be quite flexible. Their most common shifts are either lates (2pm – 10pm) or nights (10.30pm – 6.15am).

The pay can range from £9.50 – £11.46 per hour.

You do not need to have any experience for this role and you can start immediately with a variety of morning, day and evening shifts to choose from.

The pay ranges from £10-£11.50 per hour depending on the chosen shifts and there are free refreshments and onsite subsidised food available for employees.

The pay is £9.70 per hour for day time shifts and £11.46 for night time shifts. Overtime is additionally available up to £19.40 per hour.

There are full-time positions available where you can expect to work for 40 hours per week. You could earn up to £4,400 before Christmas!

There are short-term contracts available from December 14 on a full or time part-time basis.

There is no experience required and they offer competitive pay, free on-site parking and a subsidised canteen for employees.

There are a mix of daytime and evening shifts available depending on trading hours. The store will require full flexibility from you in order to work extra hours and shifts when required to.

If successful, you will be offered a contract until late December and you will be paid fortnightly.

You will be collecting parcels from the Hermes Delivery Unit in the morning then you have the freedom to work independently in your local community, planning your own routes and making contract-free home deliveries.

Full training will be provided and the pay can range from £10 – £15 per hour.

There are a variety full time shifts available from Monday to Friday and there are opportunities to work extra hours on weekends to earn more cash.

The pay is £9.40 per hour with overtime paid at 150 per cent after 37.5 hours. There are free hot drinks available on the premises as well as lockers, monthly team lunches and lots of Christmas fun. There is also potential to be taken on for a permanent role for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for chatting with children in Santa’s Grotto, you will be telling magical stories about the North Pole and meet with family groups at breakfast and team events.

The hours are part-time with flexible shifts throughout the week, including weekends. The pay is competitive so get practising that jolly “Ho, ho, ho!”

There are part-time hours available (15-30 per week) and shifts would be between the hours of 8.30am-6.30pm across a seven day week.

The contract length for this position is one month and the pay is £5-£8.80 per hour.
