A wealthy Scottish fund manager who owns an extensive grouse moor has been given the largest ever financial penalty … (The Herald)

The Royal Mail is expected to announced the closure of more than 40 post offices across central and south Scotland today. The familiar red poppy, worn to mark Remembrance Day, may be missing from Glaswegians’ lapels this year if an urgent appeal for volunteers is unsuccessful.
