Food Bank is one hub of voluntarism for FedEx Cares community service program (Memphis Commercial Appeal)

It had been a long time, but FedEx worker Robert Martin knew exactly what it was like to be on the receiving end of the Memphis Food Bank. When FedEx sentout a call for help, Martin was there. “They said they needed some volunteers, so I volunteered,” said Martin, 58, FedEx employee since 2000 who drives a tug that unloads shipping containers at the company’s hub.
