Royal Mail gives update to Bexley residents after delays

Royal Mail has assured customers in Bexley that services have returned to normal following staffing absences.

In early January, the Royal Mail admitted that said 27 areas in England would receive post late due to due to workers being off sick or self-isolating due to the pandemic.

The company says that staffing issues caused by coronavirus have now been resolved, with services back in Bexley now back to normal.

A spokesperson for Royal Mail said: “The office did experience high levels of absences in January due to coronavirus, which would have impacted service levels.

“That said, staffing levels have now returned to normal and the office is delivering a normal service.

“If customers are still worried about their post, they should contact our customer service team who will be able to investigate further.”
